Casey Lester is a lifelong advocate for the Flint community, bringing a unique blend of professional expertise and local commitment to the race for the 8th Ward City Council seat. With a career rooted in the banking industry, Casey spent years as a regional banker before transitioning into Treasury Management, where he currently helps local businesses and organizations manage their financial operations with precision and growth-oriented strategies.
Beyond his professional life, Casey is a hands-on entrepreneur. As the owner of "The Roman," a local grooming business, he understands firsthand the challenges and rewards of operating a small business in Flint. His experience as a business owner fuels his passion for supporting local entrepreneurs and fostering an environment where small businesses can thrive.

Casey’s dedication to public service is evidenced by his extensive civic involvement, including:
- President of the Flint Community Board of Education during the onset of Covid. Together with the Board he was able to successfully lead a lawsuit for the Flint Schools Special Education funding
- Downtown Development Authority (DDA): Working to revitalize our city's core and secure state development grants.
- Neighborhood Engagement Hub: Serving on the Board of Directors to empower residents and strengthen our neighborhoods.
- Community Roots: From his professional work with the Flint Institute of Music and University of Michigan Flint to his deep family ties in the area, Casey is a neighbor who truly knows and loves this city.

Public safety is about more than just enforcement; it is about trust. I am committed to fostering a friendlier, more visible police presence where officers are active partners in our neighborhoods. By prioritizing community policing, we can build the relationships necessary to keep our streets safe and our residents heard.
Our neighborhood’s appearance reflects our pride. I will lead an aggressive campaign for blight elimination, targeting abandoned properties, clearing illegal dumping, and revitalizing vacant lots. Turning eyesores into assets is essential for increasing property values and creating a ward we are all proud to call home.
